(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) – Whiplash Records has announced the September 27th release Epic from Toronto-based band Manic Drive. Physically distributed by Provident-Integrity Distribution, a unit of SONY Music Entertainment, digitally distributed by Syntax Distribution a division of Quality Junk, Manic Drive’s latest album will be supported by a fall tour with the Newsboys.

Extensive touring combined with multiple Billboard Top 10 & 20 singles on CHR & Christian Rock Radio, helped set the stage for Manic Drive to gain key industry partnerships including management, major label national distribution and outreach partner Compassion International. This time around, the band made up of singer, guitarist and keyboardist Shawn Cavallo, drummer Keith Comer and lead guitarist Michael Cavallo, joined creative forces with multi-platinum, award-winning producer/songwriter Rob Wells (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert, Miranda Cosgrove, Nick Lachey, Backstreet Boys) for their upcoming fourth album.

“Working with Rob has been extremely exciting,” says Shawn. “He expanded the creative boundaries of Manic Drive, pushing us to a whole new level! As an artist I appreciate him challenging us to improve ourselves artistically while at the same time keeping a direct message of faith in our music. We wanted this album to be groundbreaking by making a record that stands out artistically in a way that is musically relevant to those in and out of the church.”

As evidenced by the lyrical maturity of Epic, Manic Drive is very intentional about reaching their generation and inspiring them to pursue a deeper walk with Christ by getting involved in changing the world they are inheriting. The band members, all in their early-mid twenties, speak boldly about the issues facing their peers and do so in a relevant and compelling way because they are dealing with the same pressures and struggles with the same feelings and emotions their peers face everyday. Michael explains, “Ministry comes first as we strive to encourage each other especially in our walk with God. This is an unprecedented time in history and we are all tired of the stale and mindless. A genuine experience with God is paramount to walking out this life of faith. So many people feel useless or out of place, but we are here to say that we as a generation can shake the world in amazing ways, even through the smallest actions.”

The band has been touring non-stop since the 2009 release of Blue, including North American runs with Stryper, Superchick, Fireflight, Group 1 Crew and the Air-1 Appreciation Tour, which they co-headlined. Following the success of Blue’s Top 10 CHR Hits “Music” and “Walls,” Manic Drive is once again making an impression at radio with the new single “Halo” which is already getting significant airplay. The band’s 2008 release, Reset & Rewind, earned an unprecedented seven Covenant Award nominations from GMA Canada.

Syntax Distribution, a division of Quality Junk, is one of the top independent digital distributors and aggregators representing more than 25,000 songs.
